This is how home networking should be!
I had secured a new 802.11n router from our ISP and so the search began to find a half decent dongle to replace the little 802.11g dongle which we had plugged into the back of the upstairs desktop PC. The 802.11g was probably operating at the end of its range, not helped by the partial faraday cage due to the type of walls in our house! This new TP-Link 802.11n miracle worker has really boosted things and of course works well with the new router. We find that files can be accessed over the Homegroup (we are all win7) remotely at speeds that just make you feel you are actually sitting at the computer where the files are stored...but you aren't - you are doing it over WiFi. When you consider that we are using Cat5e (100Base-TX)and this dongle can suck data up at 150mbps - it is actually faster than wired. So we can stream video without any buffering and frustration. Looking forward to the summer when the laptops start to appear in the garden. Anyway, i am a Microsoft Certified...
