Probably The Best Tablet On The Market - But It Is Cheaper Elsewhere
Reviewers are all correct to say this tablet is cheaper elsewhere. You have to remember that Google's Nexus is a direct competitor with Amazon's own Kindle Fire HD, so it is not surprising that Amazon will not price it competitively or favourably with the Kindle Fire. Actually full marks to them for stocking a competitor's product at all!

There are loads of online reviews that lead me to purchase the Nexus 7 in preference to other options so I will not dwell on comparisons with other products.
My experience out of the box was of a high quality bit of kit. The dimpled non-slip back with the NEXUS logo keeps the device from slipping if you use the device on a tabletop, or your lap and looks classy. The touch screen is beautifuly smooth and responsive , and whilst the screen is not a Retina display as in an Apple product, it is HD, vibrant and sharp, and lends plenty of depth to the visual experience. Great at first
This tablet on first look was everything i wanted in a low cost tablet. I bought two of them for my children, however after starting up and having a go the screen on one was useless and not brilliant on the other.
The problem with the screen may just be that i had a defective tablet and the other may have been from the same batch, if you press the screen in one place it pressed it in a few others causing mayhem with the keyboard and with trying to select anything from the screen.I have contacted the seller for a full refund and am really put off buying this make again but as i say it may just be a defective one. Hopefully it was just mine and its a shame because for the price it could have been just what i was looking for.

This is a great 7 inch tablet, had it a few weeks now, plenty of apps if your an app head then there isn't as many as the ipad app selection, to me there are more than enough, i bought it to surf the net, use my email, watch the odd film(very smooth and great quality picture), and listen to music and watch you-tube video(extremely fast and smooth operation btw), with the odd app thrown in, so it covers all my bases and does everything i need perfectly, its been updated to version 2.1(very easy to do), and i really cannot fault it, the way everything works is very good and smooth with no problems so far, only took me a short time to go through everything i needed to configure, email, IM etc, i use the IM+ app to use my yahoo messenger on it, works flawlessly, these are going very cheep if you look around and worth every penny, i got my one for

This was the third attempt since last Christmas to acquire a 7 inch tablet. After the second failed attempt I spent a lot of time reading up on Android tablets. To state the obvious: it depends what you want the tablet for, and, you get what you pay for.
For a machine in its price bracket, the CloudNine Neuropad2 Tablet is a great option! It does what I wanted it for.
It's a slim, elegant machine with a great screen and good speaker. It comes with Android 4.0.3 which is a great experience after Android 2.2 or 2.3. No problems connecting to WiFi, even to non-broadcasting networks, something not every tablet will do in my experience.
Flash 11 is installed and a "fully working Android Market". This last point was a real clincher for me...

only had the tablet a few days.we bought it for our six year old.was impressed until the touch screen started to become frozen.according to online forums its probably due to the fact that we need to download new firmware.we have tried to do this.but as yet this is proving unsuccessful and is also not easy to do.we thought(probably naively)that the tablet would work as soon as it is switched on.any help or tips would be very much appreciated.
