Terrific little tablet
I'd been considering a tablet purchase for some time and came to the conclusion that it had to be Android.....I'm not an Apple fan and I already have an Android smartphone......and it had to be smaller than a full-size 10-inch tablet simply because I wanted something light and very portable, but with a bit more useable screen real-estate than a large-screen smartphone or Google Nexus 7/Amazon Kindle Fire.

An 8-inch tablet seemed to tick the boxes and I looked at various offerings before spotting this one. I've had it a few days now and I must say I am very impressed.

Key points for me are:
- Lovely bright screen with good colours and viewing angles
- The 4:3 ratio screen is a more conventional shape for web-browsing that the 16:9 found on 7" and 9" tablets
- Reasonable battery life - early days yet but seems to give me 5-6 hours in mixed use.

Great value - buit find your won way around.
I ordered a Goclever TAB R974 tablet as a Christmas present for my wife. It arrived quickly but there was a problem as it would not stay connected to any program. I contacted the seller who advised me to return it. I did so and received a call saying all it needed was an update. It was returned to me immediately and received on Christmas Eve.

This time it worked fine and we are delighted with its performance. Momo 11 - very impressive well priced tablet
I wanted to replace my old Archos tablet with something a bit larger, more powerful, and more up to date. There are a lot of tablets around and so research is necessary to avoid buying a lemon. The reviews for the Momo products have been very positive, and in particular the very helpful Gary of GTR tipped the balance for me, and I ordered the Momo 11 Bird direct from GTR. It arrived promptly, and as previous reviewers have said, the UK power adapter is taped very securely to the outside of the very slim Momo box ( you needn't worry about this as there doesn't seem to be room inside the Momo box for a UK type plug).
So, out of the box, and switch on (the on/off switch is on the right hand side at the bottom of the various connection points). A long hold and the little Appbot appears and the tablet boots up (mine had about 38% battery power). I then spent a few minutes configuring the time/date/location. Then linked up to my wifi - this was a quick process and I got a strong signal...

Works quite fine for me.. recommend 100% - Updated
Update: I am not very pleased with the WiFi connectivity. But I am not sure whether it is the router or the tablet. I've noticed that the WiFi disconnects frequently and reconnects. One has to wait a few minutes to get on with internet use.
May be this is due to distance from WiFi router or some settings in the Tablet forces a reset . But when I am closer to router, it is working fine.

I found the specs and ordered two of them from China.. and they arrived and work a treat..
I have been using them for last two weeks.. I am so happy with the tablet that I am going to buy one for myself.. (the ones I tested were for giving to others)

Excellent value for money
This tablet is very good value for money. While it doesn't break any records in terms of power or features, it certainly never feels sluggish, nor do I feel it significantly lacks in anything I really need.

I bought the tablet to be used as a work and study tool, but have ended up using it for more.

Videos and games (including SNES and N64 emulators [tested]) run very smoothly, documents show nicely with a good resolution, and all the other apps I have tried seem to work perfectly well (with the exception of those which are anal about not letting you install them on unrecognised devices - has only so far occured with Plants vs Zombies and Xbox Smartglass, neither of which would let me install them).
Only has a camera on the front, but it works perfectly well during Skype conversations.

The speaker is pretty poor, but there is of course a standard audio out socket for use with headphones or external speakers.
